Another month means that it’s time for another Favorite Four post! This month, we’ve got two pairs of sneakers and two shirts because apparently being symmetrical is the way to go? (I don’t know.)
- Po-Zu continues with the domination of the Star Wars sneaker world with Kylo Ren inspired shoes and honestly, I’m surprised that it took them this long to make a Ben inspired design.
- Jordandené teamed up with Sam Maggs for a rad new Fangirl Galaxy collection!
- You can get an Edna Mode blouse from Box Lunch. This is the best timeline.
- Everything’s coming up Carol! Check out these super incredible Captain Marvel inspired sneakers by Vans. Seriously: who would’ve thought ten years ago that these would have existed?
Every time I think I have a favorite Musterbrand piece, another new one enters my life. I will forever love my x-wing cape and shoes but this cardigan… this Kylo Ren inspired cardigan is where it’s at. It has thumb holes!!! (Someone please tell me I’m not allowed to buy it in red.)
Sith Apprentice Cardigan: Musterbrand
Imperial Tunic: Kohl’s

Star Boots: The Fix/Amazon
What I love most about this cardigan is how it feels effortlessly stylish. I can toss it on with just about anything and feel good, comfortable and also warm. (Something that’s key in the office.) Also, it definitely flows behind me when I walk down the hallway which makes it almost as good as a cape. Part of what really makes this cardigan great though doesn’t show up in my pictures terribly well but it’s the variety of textures going on. It elevates what could have been a nice cut yet sorta boring piece to something far more special. This is one of those items of clothing that both nerds and non-nerds will appreciate. (Source: Lots of compliments from my assorted coworkers, including my boss, and more than a few compliments over the couple of hours I wore this to Awesome Con for one of my panels.) I’ve had this cardigan for a month now and I can honestly say it’s one of the pieces I reach for the most. If you’re even casually considering buying this piece… do it. Trust me. It’s great.
Disclaimer: Musterbrand provided the Kylo cardigan but only requested honest feedback and did not ask for a positive review in return.
I wasn’t going to get this jacket. I really wasn’t. I acknowledge that I have a leather jacket problem but I already had their Vader one and I love it so much that getting the Kylo one seemed redundant. And then the Disney Store had it for like 75% off. In my size. Yeah, it’s not my fault.
Just like how my love for Kylo Ren surprised me, so did my love for this sweater. It’s been a very cold winter in my part of the world and this sweater has been decidedly cozy and one of my go-to pieces.
And oh hey: The Last Jedi novelization is out today. You should probably go read it.
For sizing reference, Bria is wearing a size small in the sweater. If in doubt, size down. The fit is generous.
If you’ve been reading WHR for a while, you’ve probably picked up on my tendency to make geek chic dresses when I get either bored or stressed out. The months leading up to Awesome Con 2016 were no exception and it just so happened that I had a panel towards the end of Saturday and… yep. This is definitely what I wore. Look, I’m not quiet about my newfound loyalty to the First Order.
There’s no real outfit break down to post since the dress was designed and made by me and I completely spaced and forgot to grab necklace and earrings in the morning. One of the best compliments I got while wearing this though was “Oh so that’s a ThinkGeek dress, right?”
Thank you to Rich and Strange for the photography!
