HAPPY PADMÉ DAY!!! If you somehow didn’t know, Queen’s Shadow by E.K. Johnston is out today and stars Padmé and her incredible handmaidens and it is SO VERY GOOD! (I have a lot of feels about all of those women.) Please go buy yourself a copy and read it. Trust me, you won’t regret it.
Anyways, I’ve had this gorgeous scarf from Prophecy Girl for ages and today feels like the right day for an outfit featuring it. This! Is! Padmé! Week!

It’s another dip into our brand new feature along with another Her Universe dress. This time, we’re looking to Doctor Who and the Tenth Doctor for some style cues. (The key here is that when in doubt, add a little bit of TARDIS blue!)
Captain America: The Winter Soldier is in theatres everywhere today and whoa we could not be more excited! Actually, by the time you read the post, I’ll have already seen the movie and am probably lying in a puddle of Cap feelings goo somewhere.
I wanted to lean more towards the casual side with this outfit since I knew I’d be running off to the fabric store as soon as I took the pictures. (Yes, I swapped the heels for flats.) Out of everything though, I really want to make sure that I worked this khaki jacket into the look. I think that the military look of it really made outfit work and felt the most Steve Rogers out of everything I had on including the Cap earrings.
Thank you to Abby for taking these pictures for me to spare everyone another self timer shoot!

Welcome to us joyously counting down the days until Captain America: The Winter Soldier lands in theatres for real and for sure. We’ll be saluting the various leads for Captain America Week, so kick back, relax, and get your stars&stripes ready because we’re leaving no man behind.
Our girl Betsy Braddock, star of this whole comic book bang up show. To get this champagne party started, we tip our snapbacks to Phil Noto’s model art piece — but fashion casting is no longer London 1982, but New York now and model streetstyle is lazy A. Wang post-show inspo and our lady of Soo Joo as reigning queen of frontpage hair.
We’ll never let go of the purple, though. It complements our hot pink power signature bracelet too well.

Because the comic gods have seen fit to rip one of our most beloved books from our grasp, we’re honouring its end in the only way we know how: Welcome to Uncanny X-Force Week.
A little bit daring and a whole lot brave? For those who keep Gryffindor colours close to heart or brazenly on the sleeve, here’s a little inspo to the red and gold.
