Things that I am 100% about include going (moderately) low key geeky at work. Bless adorable skirts and blazers.

Why yes, sometimes I do buy dresses specifically because they make me think ‘fashionable Jedi’ and then wear them to the theatre. I figured I was prooobably doing something right when the ladies at the front desk complimented me.

Happy birthday, Imaizumi! Let’s dress up and celebrate with a sweet Sohoku surprise.
(So Imaizumi has these like, noodle arms, and one time he yanked this dude by the hair because dude was badmouthing a teammate and I think I laughed for ten minutes straight. Bike anime is great, bike anime is shounen sports that always feels bigger that what it is, bike anime is S3 finally.)
(Me, always with the ride and die.)

When you want to treat yourself to something for your birthday, is there anything better than a new Her Universe piece? Honestly, how could I have said no when it was on sale? I’ve been ever so continuously falling to the dark side/the Imperial side and therefore this skirt was an almost instant buy for me. It’s one of those awesome prints that just looks neat at a first glance but then geeky at a second once you realize that it’s got Vader and AT-ATs on it.
For sizing purposes, Bria is wearing a small. The skirt runs very true to size going by the waist measurements. If you’re intending to wear it on your hips, go up a size.
The First Order may be the next generation of the Empire but that doesn’t stop them from getting a style upgrade. Just look at that new crest! And the new stormtrooper armor!
First Order Dress: Mighty Fine
Leather Jacket: H&M
Grey Tights: Hue
Black Pumps: BCBGeneration
A few notes on this dress: First, it’s very short. I’m 5’6″ (so a little over average height) and it juuuuust barely covers my butt. It may work better as a tunic/with leggings but heyyyyy fashion! In all seriousness, this is probably something that anyone above average height will want to avoid if you’re looking to wear this as a dress. There’s also a weird fit issue around the arm pits that’s been noted by several others. Short version: try this dress on in the store first. (It’s available at Macy’s.)
There’s a little film called Star Wars: The Force Awakens coming out this weekend and we’re going to celebrate the only way we know how: by throwing it a fashion party. So jump on board the Millenium Falcon because Chewie, we’re home.
