It’s not like I made this dress years ago and am just now getting around to taking pictures of it now. That would be silly. But hey! Today’s the 40th Anniversary of Star Wars so what better day to finally post pictures of this?

Please. As if we weren’t going to style some of the awesome pieces from Her Universe’s Wonder Woman collection since we can’t buy them all.
It’s finally here! Her Universe’s Wonder Woman collection releases today and you’ll even get your new pieces before the film comes out next month. Designed by last year’s Fashion Show winners Jesse Thaxton (friend of the blog! We’re very proud of her!), Hannah Kent, and Camille Falciola, the collection is clearly inspired by both Diana and her forthcoming film. The collection features a tank top, two jackets, a skirt, a romper and two dresses of which one is even reversible. The neatest thing about the collection is that there’s nothing overly standard and even for the seemingly more basic pieces, they tend to have a surprise. (The tank top has the netting with the sword on the back and the costume dress is reversible.) It’s a really nicely done little collection. My personal favorite is the black and gold dress.
You can shop the collection in both standard and plus sizes over at HotTopic.com.
It’s not a secret how much I love Leia and I can’t help but make new costumes for her all the time now. (It may be the latest obsession.) Ever since I saw her new dress in the Marvel Comics a few years ago, it’s been on my wish list. It’s the perfect blend between her classic Senatorial look and something more fitting with her somewhat more action oriented role in the comics. It may have taken a lot of work combined with plenty of frustration about sewing spandex but it was totally worth it.
Shout out to my Alderaanian sister Nicole for being my Evaan Verlaine at Celebration!

It’s sometimes a little touch-and-go when it comes to space dates, but we get there eventually. There’s always room in my big stupid senshi heart for another go, and I love that Abby is always there to meet me. Not gonna lie, eternal eternity is a pretty good look for us.
(Spoilers, it’s always Magical Girl Mondays in my heart.)
