Is there anything better than superhero fashion? We do plenty of inspired street style around here but these fabulous new comic book designs by Suckers Apparel take superhero fashion to a whole new level. These designs are definitely geeky without being overly on the nose about it. You can check out some of the designs they’ve made in the picture below. In particular, all of the Hawkeye dresses, the Carol Danvers dress, the Batgirl leggings, the Wonder Woman leggings, and the Saga caplet are fantastically well done.
Seriously, we can’t get enough of this collection! Go check it out for yourself and perhaps add some geeky flair to your wardrobe.
I love Phyla-Vell.
I love Guardians of the Galaxy.
Busting my ass to upgrade Quasar is basically the story of my life — full of screaming and crying, caused by the very things I cherish. (And yet here I am, knees deep in planning the next.) But what really overfloweth my heart with big dumb stupid grinning joy, was everybody who helped make the magic happen.
So much heart-shaped gratitude to Natalie for letting me talk her into cosplaying Moondragon, despite her hectic everything schedule and a super daunting baldcap first. Welcome to the Guardians of the Galaxy family, my beautiful and amazing interplanetary warrior girlfriend. And internet highfives and frantic heart hands to Lionel — a photographer who not only gets the best out of us, every single time, but who pulled together a last minute light-up sword for this. Yes. That sword? That was all him.
(My friends are kinda amazing.)
They could easily rename Game of Thrones to Game of Hair. So many of the women on that show have such glorious long hair and fabulous hairstyles so it’s only natural to want to look to them for inspiration.
Today’s tutorial is inspired by the hairstyle that Daenery’s Targaryen wore for the majority of Season Three. A friend of mine who is also the model in these pictures needed a braided hairstyle to go along with one of her costumes and this seemed perfect for the job. You might recognize her as Heather of Zhobot. ;)
(The easiest way to make your hair look more like Dany’s, you’ll want to do a Dutch braid which means you braid under instead of braiding over. And to have pretty thick hair.)
You don’t need much to do this hair style: just two elastics, a brush, possibly a comb, and some bobby pins to help you divide out the sections
And that’s it! This is definitely one of those hairstyles that takes a bit of practice and that you will probably find a way to modify or tweak it depending upon your hair. Again, if you’d like to make this more like Dany, braid under instead of over, don’t braid down the top sections, and don’t combine the two sections. However, she does change up how she wears the style from time to time so feel free to play!
As always, if you have any questions or want to share pictures of your own attempts at the style, feel free to comment or poke us via social media!
