Uncanny X-Force week continues as we ask ourselves one of our favorite questions: What Would Cluster Wear? The colour palette here was obvious and simple: white and black. And, for the first time on White Hot Room, there’s also a limited number of designers involved: Proenza Schouler, Prabal Gurung, Oscar de la Renta, and Chanel (because there must be at least one French designer involved, no?)
We’ll start off with this look by Proenza Schouler.
Chanel seems to have this outerwear category locked up.

We’d apologize for doing a third inspo post for our favourite White Queen but we’re not actually sorry. Emma Frost is just such an awesome character to mentally dress in the world’s high fashion because she’s someone who actually wears this sort of thing when she’s not on the run or going through one of those unfortunate phases where all she wears is black or her superhero costume.
We’re start off with this look by Proenza Schouler with its plunging and barely there neckline and all!
We’ll keep with the suit theme with this more conservative suit from Ralph Lauren for the occasions when she does need to go with more traditional business wear.
She’d be all over this Alexandre Vauthier; jacket, dress, and all!
Season Three of Game of Thrones is well underway and with it comes the inevitable question: What would these noble houses wear if they were to dress themselves in the high fashion of our world? House Stark is one of the easiest to pin down due in great part to how far north Winterfell is. They would tend towards darker and more muted colours including their House colour of grey. Fur would be another constant for the Starks because Winterfell is cold on the best of days and Winter Is Coming.
We’ll start things out with an outfit by Carolina Herrera that basically sums up what this post is going to be.
Haider Ackermann continues with the fur trend with both of these looks.

You’ve heard that Winter Is Coming, right? What better way to combat a very cold day than by curling up with something warm yet stylish? Herve Leger has you covered.
Of course, there are bound to be a couple of warmer days during the long summers. It’s okay though because Marni has them covered with some slightly less winter-warm looks. The mandatory fur stays though.

Ever wonder what your favourite Star Wars characters might wear if they dressed in our planet’s high fashion looks? Yeah, us too. In the first of what will be several posts, we’ve taken a prominent group in the Star Wars universe and looked through the Pre-Fall 2013 styles to see what those characters might wear. First up: everyone’s favourite Galactic Empire.
Most of what we see in terms of clothing from the Empire in the films is their uniforms, which are obviously militaristic and which also tend towards more drab colours. No bright colours here except for the Imperial Guard, of course. With this in mind, I looked for both a specific colour palette and also for the looks that didn’t flaunt the ruffles that were popular this season. (Vader vetoed their addition to the uniform.) The darker and militaristic results would be fabulous additions to the wardrobe of any female Imperial officer nonetheless.

Let’s start out with some basics. Obviously, the Imperials have to go to work, but why does their wardrobe have to be limited to uniforms when they have Nina Ricci, Michael Kors, and Proenza Schouler:

Of course, you can never go wrong with a smartly cut jacket like this one from St. John:
Designers wouldn’t leave the more stylish Imperial ladies wanting for tops either. Alexander Wang and Vera Wang both put forth some interesting offerings:

Fashion Week throughout the world has come and gone and left us with dozens of collections to look at with longing and wishes that our wallets held more money than they do. Even though Avengers vs X-men ended in a less than ideal way for Emma Frost, I bet she still kept an eye on Fashion Week in Paris, Milan, London, and New York. She might be in more than just a spot of trouble but here are a few looks from the 2013 Spring/Summer Ready to Wear Collections that just might have found their way into her closet.

A good number of the pieces from the Balenciaga 2013 S/S collection look like they just might be up Miss Frost’s alley. In fact, I’d be shocked if she didn’t already have the top in the first image in her closet already. The subtle X shape makes me inclined to say that the top could very well have been inspired by her. While Emma’s fashion trademark is obviously that she wears all white, I could see her being drawn to both of the outfits on the left or even just simply taking the white top from one and the white skirt from the other.
