Another year, another jam with the space babes of my heart. It’s almost tradition now to hang out in our Guardians of the Galaxy gear while throwing back drinks and just kickin’ it super chill. Bonus hanging out at the James Gunn signing? I guess that’s pretty awesome, too.
As always, a huge thanks to Judy Stephens of Marvel.com for taking the time to grab some shots with us. <3

What can we say — if she wears the star, our hearts are set. Nothing gets us going like a face turned toward the stars and a thirst for more, and the lady legacy of all Captains Marvel will always take us there. For superheroic cosmic style we turn to colourblocking and particular gold accents, and serve it up with a star.
Want more Captain Marvel? It’s kinda a thing we do.
It’s the season for sweaters, and there’s nothing but super joy for cozy knits and imminent snowdrifts. Always with an eye out for superhero sartorial inspo, a fashion fave is colourblocking that can roll right outta bed into a Captain Marvel casual — the Marvel legacy, it’s my legacy of choice.

I love Phyla-Vell.
I love Guardians of the Galaxy.
Busting my ass to upgrade Quasar is basically the story of my life — full of screaming and crying, caused by the very things I cherish. (And yet here I am, knees deep in planning the next.) But what really overfloweth my heart with big dumb stupid grinning joy, was everybody who helped make the magic happen.
So much heart-shaped gratitude to Natalie for letting me talk her into cosplaying Moondragon, despite her hectic everything schedule and a super daunting baldcap first. Welcome to the Guardians of the Galaxy family, my beautiful and amazing interplanetary warrior girlfriend. And internet highfives and frantic heart hands to Lionel — a photographer who not only gets the best out of us, every single time, but who pulled together a last minute light-up sword for this. Yes. That sword? That was all him.
(My friends are kinda amazing.)
As you may have noticed, we’ve been slowly aggregating the various costume efforts of our past years for your viewing pleasure. (And also to document the rise and fall of our wasted free time…) So we’re happy to announce that the Costumes section is up and running! You’ll find our respective galleries nestled within, as well as convention schedules and future cosplay plans.
And of course, there’s our beloved Sailor Hawkeye and Sailor Black Widow, and our shared enthusiasm for Miss Braddock as reflected in our cover pictures — just click either of them to get to our respective galleries!
We’ll also be featuring some of our costumes occasionally, and you’ll see some of our favourites make their way to our tumblr! And stay tuned as we start to get our heads back into the game for Katsucon 2013…
