Apparently the best way to convince me to do a costume to bribe me with a giant bowl of meat (still waiting on that one, Lin!) but to be honest, it wasn’t really much of a hard sell because I freaking love Chie. We did their fancy dress version for Katsu back in 2014 and then their usual looks in 2015 and I finally had a chance to get pictures as her at MAGFest this year!
Chie Satonaka: Bria
Photography is by the ever amazing Jeremy!
Do you ever just.
(We definitely danced all night, or as long as the night let us.)
Yosuke Hanamura: Lin (me)
Rise Kujikawa: Abby Rou
That feeling when you get a video preview of the photoshoot where you’re a sweaty gross teen boy dancing with all of your beautiful friends.
(I’m the Yosuke Hanamura.)
(I’m always the Yosuke Hanamura, somewhere deep down inside.)
Another February, another Katsucon but thankfully one minus the snowstorm of doom!
It was a crazy busy convention for both of us with Lin sports anime-ing it up and Bria accidentally helping direct the Marvel shoot with the weekend sandwiched between repping some of our favorite kids from the comic book schools. We’ll put up pics from our various photoshoots as they roll in but for the mean time, enjoy these sneak peaks from our Instagrams!
We just have a lot of feelings about Persona 4.
Super stupid gungho about Shin Megami Tensei series in general, this is one of Lin’s favourite video games — so it was only a matter of time before she bribed Bria with a bowl of meat to join her in this grand Midnight Channel sister friendship adventure. And what’s Persona if not ranking up in weirdo friendships? Cosplay high fiving over video games is basically what we do with our buddies over at Zhobot / Sew&Bro, and gathering up our Katsucon buddies for this group was only natural.
Instead of going normal route, though, we decided to be classy kids and don demon prom formals via amazing pixiv artist, じょにー.
Sadly, we didn’t have our Rise and Yosuke by the time this photoshoot came around — but don’t worry, we’ll grab every future chance to roll that trash bro in a garbage can.
