Awesome Con 2014 in Washington DC is this weekend and Bria is totally psyched! She’s keeping it simple this time with a roster of Star Wars and X-men. As always, if you see her, feel free to come up and say hi!
Friday Afternoon: Look for the X-Factor group!
Saturday: In the morning, Bria will be Jaina Solo for a Young Jedi Knights group. She’ll also be on an ~awesome~ panel discussing Star Wars with Timothy Zahn, John ‘Dak’ Morton, and Blue Milk Special from 1:30-2:30 in Room 206. Later in the day, she’ll be switching back to Marvel as Sage.
Sunday: To wrap up the con, Bria will be roaming in an upgraded version of her Mara Jade.
Look, sometimes an outfit is just begging to be put together. And hey, I won’t even lie. Today’s outfit is all about the dress because I’m 99% sure that one of the designers at Express is secretly a huge fan of X-Factor and Monet St. Croix. Could it be anymore of a fashionable translation of her current uniform?

Have you read Peter David’s X-Factor? No? Go read it. Right now. It is wonderful as is my fabulous bitchy diva Monet who gets a pretty big role in the book.
Also known as: what Bria is wearing for race day. I’m headed off to the Preakness Stakes tomorrow. It’s the second jewel in the Triple Crown and is always a fun day at the horse race track. While the Kentucky Derby might get all the attention, the Preakness is also filled with plenty of fabulous hats and I wanted to bring my A-game this year. For style inspiration, I turned to one of my favourite rich and classy ladies: Monet St. Croix. She’s one of the few Marvel superheroes that I could feasibly see attending an event like this. Her X-Factor uniform served as a basis as did Monet herself. The black and red of the bespoke hat was my starting point because, well, FABULOUS HAT. From there, it was just a matter of debating between dresses and accessorizing.
Really, it’s all about the hat.
