Sneaky sneaky! It looks like Her Universe has delved back into the realm of Marvel with a Spider-man inspired active wear line! It’s fairly similar to the lines we’ve previously seen just with a Spidey spin. (Spin! Did you see what I… never mind.) The active wear cardigan is something new and I’d certainly be interested to see how the sports bra is.
You can shop the collection at the links below. Any pieces on your must buy list?

It wouldn’t be a Star Wars Celebration if we didn’t get some fantastic publishing panels and Celebration Orlando did not disappoint. The big headliner was the Lucasfilm Publishing Panel on Friday featuring creators from across all aspects of Star Wars publishing followed by spotlight panels for Del Rey and Marvel on Saturday. What did we learn? Well actually quite a lot. Everything just didn’t quite happen when and how you might have expected.
Lucasfilm officially announced the “Journey to Star Wars: The Last Jedi” campaign; a clear follow up to their “Journey to Star Wars: The Force Awakens” campaign from last year. (Get your #JtTLJ hashtags ready.) Expect to see a looooot of the same for what we saw with JtTFA in terms of supplemental material when it launches in September. The biggest announcements, oddly enough, had to do with the same character. Delilah Dawson will be writing a Phasma book for Del Rey and Kelly Thompson and Marco Chechetto are doing a Captain Phasma comic for Marvel. Phasma will be back story for everyone’s favorite shiny stormtrooper while Captain Phasma will cover how she gets off of Starkiller Base. It’s an interesting choice to have two major parts of JtTLJ focused on the same character and seems like a good indicator that Phasma will have more of a role in The Last Jedi. (more…)
It may be a few weeks later than expected but the Her Universe website is finally back! Now available are both a bunch of brand new designs along with plenty of older designs. (As a note, you can now get some of the previously Hot Topic exclusive designs directly from Her Universe! Consider it a benefit of the acquisition.) If you sign back up for the mailing list, you’ll get a coupon code for 25% off your entire purchase. The code is good for 14 days.
There are a lot of cool new features on the website including a calendar for conventions etc where Ashley will be making an appearance. Fangirl of the Day is back wants your nominations. Also, you can now filter the website based upon size and by fandom. Honestly, it’s well worth it to head on over to the website and check it out. Even the logo is sparkly and new!
Most notably though, Her Universe will have a brand new Leia shirt in honor of Carrie Fisher. The design can be seen in the tweets below and says “Self Rescuing Princess.” All proceeds from the shirt will go to charity. Expect to see it hit HerUniverse.com within the next week.
Some of my favorites from the new pieces are below. I suspect the denim jacket is going to be very popular. And there’s even a blanket available!!
You can read our entire livetweet of her Facebook Live video below or watch the entire video for yourself. Some of the highlights include that we’ll be getting an Ahsoka collection, a Loki collection is coming in the fall, the men’s fashion line will be called Our Universe and hitting around Christmas, AND we’re finally getting a Hera Syndulla shirt for Star Wars Celebration. (more…)
I know, you’re shocked: it’s Bria doing a Black Widow outfit and not Lin but it had to happen eventually! But hey: when you get a cute new cardigan and you wear it as a part of your work outfit on a day when it’s really nice, taking pictures for a geek fashion blog seems mandatory.
Bonus: I was reading Black Widow: Red Vengeance on the metro on the day I wore this to work and it was COMPLETELY BY ACCIDENT
Black Widow Cardigan: Elhoffer Design
Red Dress: J. Crew
Star Earrings: Henri Bendel
Nude Heels: BCBG
It’s been a while since we’ve featured a new Black Milk Clothing but we thought that this latest Marvel: New York Collection was worth mentioning. Personally, I’m especially interested in the Sanctum Santorum leggings and the Black Panther hoodie. I also think it’s great to see female Avengers like Wasp and Black Widow featured and what a crazy, awesome world we live in to see a character like Squirrel Girl on fashion pieces like these.
The collection will be available online at blackmilkclothing.com on November 8th at 8am AEST. (That should be 4pm on November 7th.) You can preview the collection on Pinterest right now.
