How many fist pumps did I do when Her Universe announced this shirt? So. Many. This is another Her Universe piece that I totally dig. It’s long sleeve (which is new for them!), is fairly subtle for the non-initiated, and it’s representing Star Wars Rebels, my new favorite show!

Black Skirt: MICHAEL Michael Kors
Galactic Leggings: Black Milk
Boots: Kenneth Cole
For sizing reference, Bria is wearing a medium in the Rebel Starbird shirt.
I can’t describe how thrilled I am that Her Universe has come out with non-form fitting skirts and this grey one with the Rebel Crest definitely went on my ‘to-buy’ list the minute I saw it on the release list for Star Wars Weekends. It’s a super cute skirt that has a lovely flow to it. I’m currently working on talking myself into wearing it/actually this outfit to work on Casual Friday this summer. I do suspect though that it would definitely be A-Okay for plenty of more casual offices not to mention perfect for school or just chilling this summer.
Thank you, as always, to Heather of Zhobot for the photography!
Grey Rebel Alliance Skirt: Her Universe
Silk Striped Top: DKNY
Silver Sandals: Kenneth Cole
Sunglasses: Coach
Accessories: Assorted places
For sizing reference, Bria is about 5’7″ and is wearing a size Medium in the skirt. It runs a little bit on the smaller side and that’s mostly because of the white pencil skirt slip underneath it. I haven’t tried it yet but I suspect that the slip would be easy to cut slits in for a bit more freedom of movement and I’ve heard talk from other friends that they’re thinking of cutting the slip out entirely.

When I saw the press release for Her Universe’s new items for Star Wars Weekends, I knew that I had to have that Han Solo dress. Actually, I wanted it so badly that I asked some friends of mine to pick me up one of the dresses that first weekend so I could make sure that I’d get one and oh boy do I not regret it! It’s incredibly comfortable and flattering on tons of body types. There were a lot of fellow fangirls walking around wearing it at Star Wars Weekends. Point is, I whole-heartedly endorse this dress for any Star Wars fangirl!
Also? I regret nothing about this next picture. NOTHING.

After getting some feedback, we’re going to start something new here for Her Universe posts. If you’ve ever met the lovely Ashley Eckstein, you know that she’s a bit on the shorter side so it can be hard sometimes for us taller girls to get an idea from the website of how the pieces will fit especially when it comes to length. So! I’m just under 5’7″ and am wearing a Medium in the picture. I found that it fits a bit looser than the Rogue dress (which I also got in a Medium) and could have probably gotten a Small and been comfortable.

Anything pilot related gets an automatic high five from me so getting this Rogue Squadron tank top was totally going to happen. I snagged it from Think Geek in the fall so it took until now to put together an outfit for it. (Unlike Lin, I enjoy shirtsleeves in the winter.)
Thank you to Heather of Zhobot for taking pictures for me!

When in doubt, repeat after the Admiral and say loudly and proudly ‘So Say We All!’
Last month, I noticed that all of the Battlestar Galactica items were seriously on sale on Her Universe so it seemed like a great time to pick up one of the shirts I’d always wanted. (I might’ve picked up an extra of the red spine shirt too…) Regardless! This being White Hot Room, an outfit had to happen. I guess you should call this my take on geek chic with an edge.
