I still have yet to wear this costume to a con but at least I now have pictures of it! (There was a whole thing with needing a costume to take little cousins trick-or-treating a few years ago. Because obviously I had no other costumes.) A little over a month ago, a group of us trekked out (literally) to this gorgeous spot in a park in the area. It was a bit of a walk but was totally worth it!
I love Esmeralda in Hunchback of Notre Dame and it’s definitely fun getting to dress up as her. This costume was originally slowly assembled because I already had a lot of the pieces for it in my closet. All I had to make was the scarf and the corset. It just took a while to finally finish it and the motivation of the aforementioned Halloween event. I’m definitely really grateful to both Jeremy and Erin for the pictures in this post especially since I was pretty out of it and not on my a-game for the shoot.
The problem with using my belly dancing skirt for this costume is that it meant I spent about 75% of the time just playing with it and making it do lots of swirly things. Oops?
