Oh gosh.  Sometimes?  A costume just hits you in the face repeatedly until you agree to make it.  This was definitely one of those costumes even if it did take me ages to finally make it.  I already had the blouse from my Josefina costume and the skirt is actually the one I use for belly dancing performances.  Therefore, it was a simple matter of making the scarf and the corset.  The scarf itself didn’t take me more than an evening and I positively love the beads I found to use as medallions.  The corset, however, I managed to drag my feet on making until I was marathon sewing to finish it the night before I had to go take my little cousins trick-or-treating for Halloween.  I’m hoping to do a photoshoot with my darling Heather of House Zhobot in the spring where I’ll hopefully get to have a TON of fun with that skirt.  (It’s so huge and swirly and FUN to play with!)
