Welcome back this month’s round up of my four favorite geek fashion things that I’ve stumbled upon over the last month and that I wanted to share with all of you!
- There seems to be no end in sight for Po-Zu’s Star Wars offerings. While I am fond of the Han Solo sneaker they recently announced, my favorite has to be this new Rey inspired boot.
- Everyone should strive to have as much style as Lando. ThinkGeek’s new replica cape is A++.
- Her Universe continues to expand their active wear offerings with these Infinity War inspired leggings at Torrid.
- Finally, Prophecy Girl has expanded into scarves! My favorite just might be this Padmé inspired print. It’s subtle but one you look at it more closely, you see all of the elements.
Our House Brand at White Hot Room should honestly just be capes. We love capes. Give us all the capes. Thankfully, Musterbrand is out there providing. I adored their X-Wing pilot inspired cape and the Vader inspired one is equally awesome although more subdued. Subdued doesn’t mean it’s not recognizable though as I got compliments from multiple coworkers the first day I wore it. It is comfy, cozy, and stylish and really, what more could you ask for from a work wear piece?
Vader Cape: Musterbrand
Gray Shirt: Amazon
Pencil Skirt: Michael Kors
Black Pumps: Nine West
Just like with their other products, the Vader cape is a more subtle twist on a well-known character while still being identifiable to fellow geeks. And, as is the Musterbrand trademark, the cape is very well-made and feels worth every penny of its list price. The only bad thing that I have to say about this cape actually applies to their other products but is most noticeable with the capes. My hair routinely gets caught in it which can get really frustrating at times.
Disclaimer: Musterbrand provided the Vader cape but only requested honest feedback and did not ask for a positive review in return.
One of the things that I wanted to do when I decided to bring White Hot Room back was to try and feature more outfits that I could actually wear to work. Granted, I do work somewhere with a relatively casual dress code but it’s made it a fun challenge. This particular outfit? I drove home from work, put a little bit of make up on, and then went outside to take pictures.
Bromance Cardigan: Elhoffer Design
Black Shirt: H&M
Black Pants: Max Jeans
Tall Boots: Dr. Scholl’s
The Last Jedi Purse: Dooney & Bourke for Disney
I wasn’t going to get this jacket. I really wasn’t. I acknowledge that I have a leather jacket problem but I already had their Vader one and I love it so much that getting the Kylo one seemed redundant. And then the Disney Store had it for like 75% off. In my size. Yeah, it’s not my fault.
