I may have accidentally found myself in a Box Lunch store after attending a comic signing this weekend and may have accidentally bought myself some jewelry there that I’d been eyeing online only the week prior. Accidentally. I tripped.
After wearing them around for a few days, I only have good things to say. In addition to the necklace set and the Imperial ear crawlers, I also bought the Rebel ear crawlers in rose gold. The price points ($30 and $17) are perfectly reasonable given the products. The earrings are nickel free and the necklaces are silver plated so they aren’t the fanciest of Star Wars jewelry but they look nice and definitely fall into the subtle category. Even a hardcore Star Wars fan might have to look twice to realize what the earrings are. In my book, that’s a good thing although I wouldn’t have minded if the Imperial cog was a bit more distinct.
Since I had the opportunity to shoot with Justin from Rich and Strange Photography back at Dragon Con 2016 with my make-it-work version 1 of Seventh Sister, it seems only appropriate that I have the chance to shoot with him again at Awesome Con 2017 in the final version. Look at how much better the armor is. Just look at it.
Well we didn’t see this one coming. Star Wars and Sperry announced yesterday that they’re joining forces (pun intended) to debut a collection next week. It’s fairly standard offerings although the inclusion of the McQuarrie art is pretty neat. Best guess is that the Rebel/Imperial ones will go the fastest as they’re the most subtle and nicely designed. (Not that I’m planning on getting the Imperial ones or anything…)
The collection goes on sale Thursday, August 10th online and in select stores.
We can’t get every Her Universe piece we dig but we can style them. We definitely think this Battle of Endor dress is pretty cute!
