[INSPO] Donna Karan’s Latest is Tatooine Chic
With the recent release of Kenobi, Tatooine is the planet on everyone’s minds. Dunc over at Club Jade was the first to notice that Donna Karan’s Spring 2014 Ready-To-Wear Collection definitely invoked a sense of Tatooine chic. It should be noted right at the top that these are definitely high fashion takes and that yeah, it’d be pretty unlikely that Annileen Calwell would be walking around the Claim in one of these. But that’s the fun of fashion, right?
We’ll start with this multi-piece look with the typical tans of Tatooine and and fabulous fabric prints and designs that wouldn’t look out of place on planet.
A more casual look is absolutely necessary. You can’t always stand out in the crowd, after all.
Blue’s not a colour we’ve generally seen worn often on Tatooine and yet these looks don’t feel out of place for a high fashion version of the planet.
Continuing with the blue theme, this dress mixes that beautiful colour with the patterns and designs from some of the earlier looks along with the wide belt and easy feel.
What’s what? You wanted to see even more dresses and looks with a similar pattern and feel but in tan?
Nights on Tatooine can get pretty cold so a coat would be a definite must.
This next outfit also invokes that sense of settler without falling too far down that path. Again, the skirt isn’t precisely in typical Tatooine shades but that just would make it all the more special.
We’ll wrap things up with three of the fancier dresses in the collection that would be perfect for a night out.
